2025 PALS Provider Program

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): Updated to align with the latest 2025 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC, the PALS course is designed for healthcare professionals who manage emergencies involving infants and children, as well as for staff working in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care environments.

The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course is designed to enhance outcomes for pediatric patients by equipping healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills to recognize and manage respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest. Through high-performance team interactions and individual skill development, participants practice scenario-based simulations that reinforce key concepts.

You will now watch the videos at home. 

All videos are now viewed online. (approximately 3:00 hrs)

There is a student Pre-assessment that reviews ECG Rhythms, Pharmacology, and Practical Application. (Approximately 1:00 hr) (all that's required for Renewal).

The PALS course will teach:

• Differentiate between patients who require urgent intervention and those who do not.

• Recognize cardiopulmonary arrest promptly and initiate CPR within 10 seconds.

• Apply effective team dynamics in emergency situations.

• Distinguish between respiratory distress and respiratory failure and perform early interventions for both.

• Identify compensated and decompensated (hypotensive) shock and implement early treatment strategies.

• Differentiate between stable and unstable arrhythmias, recognizing clinical indicators of instability.

• Provide appropriate post–cardiac arrest management.
